Trees and native plants are important in helping to keep our precious Earth healthy. TOCK has heard about some wonderful tree planting events which are happening in the Christchurch district over the coming months so thought he would share them with you. Sunday 5th May: Charlesworth Reserve. Parking on Charlesworth St, 10 to 12| Map
Saturday 25th May: Barnett Park , enter off the end of Bayview Road 1 – 3pm | Map
Sunday 30th June: 64 Turners Road, this is held in conjunction with Greengear, TreeTech and Styx Living Laboratory, 10 – 12/ Map
Sunday 7th July: Styx Mill Conservation Reserve. Meet at the main carpark area, 10.30 – 12.30 Map
Saturday 20th July: Halswell Quarry Park, 10 to 12, follow signs from the Kennedys Rd carpark. | Map
Sunday 4th August: Orton Bradley Park, 10 to 12, follow signs from the main entrance. | Map
Cancelled ; Southshore Reserve, 10 to 12, follow signs from the entrance.| Map
Sunday 25th August: The Groynes, 10.30 to 12.30 follow the signs from car park 1| Map
Saturday 7th September: Horseshoe Lake Reserve, 10 to 12. Entrance to the site will be off Kingsford Street which runs off New Brighton Road | Map
Sunday October; 6th Cranford Basin, , 10 to 12. Entrance will be on Winters Road off QE2 drive. Follow the signs., Gumboots Highly Reccommended. | Map
Saturday 19th October: Travis Wetland Reserve, 10-12. The planting will be accessed from Beach Road Carpark | Map
