TOCK in Schools and the Community

In the last 4 years TOCK reached almost 300 pre/primary schools and over 12000 tamariki. The movement is growing as children, teachers and parents/carers realise…

TOCK really does empower the next generation

TOCK our cute time travelling robot is visiting Early Learning Centres, Primary Schools, Libraries and Community Events with interactive story reading sessions, songs, hands on activities and information on how children can join with him to save his future and keep our planet AMAZING!

“The Tamariki were so engaged and inspired. Whānau told us their tamariki spoke about TOCK all weekend. As Kaiako, we too are really inspired to do better, reduce waste and be more sustainable. This was the most inspiring visit we have had in relation to sustainability.

“The children and of course teachers enjoyed your teaching so much. We had great feedback from parents through the weekend and the kids educate their parents!!!

“The children have still been talking about tock this morning, even after the long weekend! So you must have made a great impression! Once again thank you for all your great communication with staff, resources and the experience you have provided our centre, it was invaluable.”

The core focus of the project is to promote the principles of Kaitiakitanga, caring for our resources and environment in a fun and interesting way.

The sessions which are aimed at children aged 3 – 8 year old support the following learning areas:

English, The Arts, Science, Maths, Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education.
