Description: Tamariki at CELC are learning about how seeds sprout and grow and have sown pea seeds into some seed raising mix in yoghurt pots saved from our lunchboxes. The peas have just sprouted their little green shoots which is very exciting for tamariki to observe. When our seedlings have grown a bit bigger we will take them home to our gardens to plant out and watch them grow. Hopefully, if we water and care for our seedlings we will get some delicious peas to eat!

TOCK is so pleased with the tamariki for reusing their yogurt pots. Growing plants is so much fun and getting to take growing plants that produce yummy food is a great idea too 🙂
