TOCK has been learning about animal habitats and how important it is to take care of them. He thought it would be a fun activity for children (up to 10 years old) to make a diorama of their favourite habitat. TOCK made an African Savanna scene (see his instruction page here) but you could make anything… An underwater scene, a tropical jungle, a polar landscape, a mountain… don’t forget to add the animals that make this habitat their home.
This competition is open to groups / classes or individuals with a prize for each category. Competition closes on the 12th April. Our competitions are free to enter but you will need to set up a free account (if you don’t already have one) just so we know how to contact the winner. Please view the full rules before entering.
The key conditions of entry for this competition are:-
1) Entries need to be created by children age 10 and under with minimal adult input.
2) Each entry needs to have been made by either a single child or as a group entry. Please answer the Individual or Group Entry question when uploading.
3) You can enter as many times as you like (using the same login account) but each diorama needs to be submitted as a separate entry with it's own description.
4) Each entry needs to be a self contained diorama using a box or shoebox using as much crafted / natural material as possible.
5) You need have fun whilst making your creation.
6) The more original and creative the better.
7) Entries must be child friendly (age appropriate).
