Cardboard egg carton
Acrylic Red paint
Paint brush
4 Red Pipe Cleaners
Glue
Googly eyes
Scissors
Instructions:
Using an empty egg carton cut out one of the egg sections to make the body of the crab.
Paint the cut out section with red acrylic paint and leave to dry.
Take one of the pipe cleaners and fold to make 2 eye stalks as shown in the step 3 illustration below. The fold will look like a goal post.
Make two small holes in the top of the painted egg carton close to one edge.
Pull the open parts of the pipe cleaner through the holes.
Fold the two stalks in half and twist, leaving an untwisted loop at the top.
Stick googly eyes on the top loops.
Make two small holes in the front of the egg carton for the claws.
Fold the another pipe cleaner to form 2 claw arms the same as illustration step 3.
Pull the open parts of the pipe cleaner through the claw holes.
Bend the pipe cleaner ends to make claw shapes.
Cut the last of the two remaining pipe cleaners into equal quarters to make a total of 8 equal length legs.
